Day 5: Saturday, Feb 9

Up early to rush to the NBC Studios to get in line at 7am to try for Saturday Night Live standby tickets! When we hit the street...the effect of the 'blizzard' was the streets were empty, except for snow movers, the subway stations were gated & locked, and there was not a taxi to be hailed for blocks! Also, *$ was closed :(

6:30 am Looks like it might not have added up to all the hype! Just a nice wintery day for us Canadians :)

These r our sad faces (altho Gayle said it looks like I am kissing a fish) - NO tickets left for SNL...all went the night before...people had waited in line for 4 days because Justin B what's his face is special guest...

No 'delivery' this am :(

So, we headed back out onto the empty streets in search of coffee, to drown our sorrows...

You're more distractable when you are tired, hungry, need coffee...
Thanks Lacoste, for a little fun :)

Looks different all snowy & without lights on!

Famous Rockefeller Centre skating rink - so much smaller in person!

Leaving my mark in nyc :)
Tim H!
Thought the Winter Garden deserved a shout out on this day!

One of our regular stops - it's comforting :)

Say YES!

Stood in line for a very long time to get to this 1/2 price ticket booth - Rock of Ages here we come!

Bringing authentic nyc baked goods into *$...probably frowned upon!

Empire State Building - Lighting in honour of Lunar New Year

Way down there is our window!

All this amazing decor at the hotel...just had to capture!

A yummy bite to eat then off to the Theatre!

O, the 80s. Quite the raunchy show! Def "melted our faces"!

A Cocktail A Day
Me & my 'brown bag'! Our sole purchase at the corner store - Mike's Hard Lemonade, .5% alc.
The guy @ the till mocked Gayle, "You think you can handle it?!" He didn't know we were planning to share it :)
